I started looking for a creative way to store and display my goodies. I paid a trip to the local Hobby Lobby and found these neat glass (I guess!) balls and started loading them up. No, I don't think I'll make a Christmas tree from them. Maybe place them in a pretty glass bowl so that the multi-colors will show up well.

TOTALLY USELESS SAL
It's that time of the month again!! Here's my month's accumulation of orts and other various and sundry bits and pieces. There's a lot here: scraps of fabric, thread wrappers, one of my beloved gold needles and a Memorial Day paper poppie. I've also included some price stickers from my new charts.

Marian, I love the glass(?) ball idea for the totally useless SAL scraps. I have been reading and watching this SAL and was wondering what happened to the scraps after a period of time.
Take care
That makes a very pretty decoration.
Love your glass balls, that will certainly be a bowl of questions!! Novel idea!
Very clever idea, to put the orts into the glass balls! They make a nice table decoration. :)
What a cool idea, they look really effective.
Hi Marian, I simply adore your glass ball arrangement. Very colorful and creative.
I am posting pics of your ornaments and Jo's bear on my SFAC blog. I cannot begin to tell you how beautiful everything is. I am going to use the ornaments on the tree, but the bear and the Peace, Love and a Cure pillow will be raffle items on their own! Bless you!
I love the idea of he little glass balls! How pretty and looks nice in your display.
I have to see if my local store has those glass balls. I have a big wooden dough bowl on the coffee table and that would look so cool! Hope you don't mind if I borrow your idea. I can see filling them with all kinds of things like candy corn for halloween, beads, too many things, lol.
