FOUND IT.....

This is the chart mentioned below. Leslie Wristers does absolutely wonderful New Orleans/ Cajun designs. Check her out if you get a chance.

And while you're at it, try this blog. Great look at Louisiana life and some even better food:

THE PRINCESS AGAIN!

Here is my BFF again. This time she's peeping thru the window into the kitchen. She loves my courtyard and this window. I'd like to think it's because I'm nearby, but I think it has something to do with the hummingbird feeder!

Having herself a good stretch.

Posing like a queen.

We had a great weekend and I have some more pictures to post later. David, Michael and I went to Tuscaloosa for the Alabama-Arkansas game, which we won handily. Game Day found it raining ALOT so in the end I stayed behind while David (dressed in large garbage bags, Michael and Deigh (my BIL) went to the game. Wouldn't you know that the sunshine came out shortly after kickoff?

I stayed behind and stitched. I finished all the crosses on Chaplain's Garden and am now completing  the surface stitching. And I've taken a few stitches on Murrle Cottage.

Today I bought Leslie Wrister's chart "Houmas House". HH is a plantation home on River Road not terribly far from here. This is a beauty and will take the rest of my life to finish but will be awesome. It has a neat border charted around the house that has fleur de lis in the four corners. Maybe I can find a picture to show here.

Anyway, all is safe on the homefront and I'm glad to be home. I could get used to Sundays with nothing to do.

SOME PICTURES AND SOME PROGRESS.

I'm sitting here with a grand cold! But the good news is that it's not the swine flu. Knock on wood!
It's time for the September accounting for the Totally Useless SAL and here it is,along with my progress on Chaplain's Garden. That one piece is really filling up the old jar. It should be finished by the weekend. And then on to it's mate........
And the Bowl of Balls is growing......

Here's an update on my little friend, Giselle. She is so sweet. She spends her mornings on my front porch or somewhere in my house and then goes to her own house for the night. She's really filled a void since I lost Rose. Not the same, but still gives me something warm and furry to pet.

And the picture on the header is "Wepham Cottage" by Marty Bell. I finished it several years ago and is really one of the prettiest pieces she did. There's a  plate to match it and it's on my list of to do's.
